Dear customers, partners, friends,
despite all adversities, we are starting the year 2021 joyfully and confidently.
Time for a look back at 2020 and at the projects that stood out from the daily business in one way or another.

Berlin, Komödie am Kurfürstendamm, „Orientexpress“

At the beginning of 2020, we were happy to create the aluminum structure for the stage set designed by Momme Röhrbein for the production “Murder on the Orientexpress” based on the classic novel by Agatha Christie. The use of standard components from our modular system made it possible to keep to the tight schedule. We had a lot of fun during the construction together with the stage crew on site and the result was also really great. Unfortunately, the show has not been performed so far due to corona, but we look forward to attending the performance as soon as this is possible again.

Theater Augsburg

The Theater Augsburg has owned one of our Ø 12m system turntables with drives and a basic control system for several years. We were allowed to upgrade the control system to include programming and positioning functions.
The Theater Augsburg now has a fully touring turntable with just these features. In addition, the drives have been significantly improved in terms of noise by the use of servo motors, and extremely slow rotations with full torque are now possible.

Mainfrankentheater Würzburg

The last “analog” workshop shortly before the first lockdown took place at the Mainfrankentheater Würzburg . Through this we received the order for the equipment of the interim playhouse “Blaue Halle”.
A nice order for us and a predestined application for the Ventum-S stage system, since the system elements temporarily installed in the hall can continue to be used as stage elements without restrictions after the renovation.

Kremlin Theater Moscow

In summer, a very interesting project: A stage wagon measuring 16 m x 6 m with 8 Mecanum drives for the Kremeltheater in Moscow – the largest project of this kind in 2020.

Due to Corona, there are unfortunately no pictures of the setup/operation on site yet. We hope to be able to provide these soon.

What else was going on

During the summer, we carried out overhauls of some theaters’ VETNUM-S aluminum components. As usual, there were few failures here. What nevertheless had to be repaired or replaced, we worked through at the same time.

In addition, a number of regular maintenance jobs for Mecanum stage wagons were due.  We had made appropriate provisions for spare parts, so there were no restrictions or delays in this respect.

We were pleased with the many orders from long-standing partners and customers spread throughout the year, and especially with the fact that several new customers joined us in 2020.

We would like to express our sincere thanks that such good cooperation was also possible in this special year 2020 and that the foundation for a positive cooperation in 2021 could be laid here.
In this spirit, let us work together on the existing and upcoming challenges and stay healthy and optimistic.
